Wike taking governance closer to FCT residents – Tinubu

By Kunle Sanni –

President Bola Tinubu has praised the leadership of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, for bringing governance closer to residents across the territory.

Tinubu made the remarks in Abuja on Monday during the inauguration of newly constructed access roads in Giri district, a project completed by the Wike-led FCT Administration.

The Giri road project is the 13th of 17 infrastructure initiatives planned to mark Tinubu’s second year in office.

Represented by Speaker of the House of Representatives Abbas Tajudeen, the president highlighted the visible progress across the FCT under Wike’s leadership.

“From Maitama, Jahi, Katampe, Wuye, Mabushi, to towns like Gwagwalada, Kwali, Bwari, Abaji, and emerging communities such as Kabusa, Ketti, and now Giri, your leadership has brought progress closer to the people,” Tinubu said.

He acknowledged that Wike has not only embraced the administration’s ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’ but has localized and made it impactful.

The president also noted that Wike’s efforts have improved quality and excellence in communities long neglected.

Tinubu concluded by thanking the minister for demonstrating that good governance is shown through tangible actions, not fanfare.
