Woman matcheted by boyfriend in Akure recuperating at FMC, Owo

Funmilayo Ogundare, who was matcheted by her boyfriend at Ijapo Estate, Akure some weeks ago is gradually recuperating at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Owo.
Ogundare was attacked by the man days after he invited her to his apartment.
The man is still at large but the woman’s condition is improving when Westernpost visited her at the hospital on Saturday.
It was gathered that Ogundare had gone through series of surgeries, but lacked the fund to proceed further with her treatment to make her completely fit.
Our reporter observed that she was still in pain from the gruesome attack.
A member of the medical team handling her case confided in our reporter that the woman who was brought to the hospital’s Accident and Emergency unit gasping for breath can now talk.
“She was brought in unconscious, with open wounds in the face. She was initially taken to the University of Medical Hospital in Akure, before she was later referred to the FMC, Owo”, he said.
