Women burn down traditional ruler’s house in Bokkos over arrests

Angry women razed the home of the District Head of Bokkos town in Bokkos Local Government Area of the state, Michal Monday Adanchi, on Friday afternoon.
According to Daily Trust, a witness from the area said the incident happened around 12:30am.
The witness said the women set fire to the house after some members of the community were arrested for their suspected role in the recent killings in the area. The witness also said the traditional ruler’s house and his office were destroyed by the fire.
“The incident started at the police station where they vented their frustration over the arrest of some members of the community. Soldiers had however reached the area and dispersed the angry women.
