Zimbabwe’s national team, the Warriors, have arrived in Nigeria ahead of Tuesday’s Group C World Cup qualifier against the Super Eagles.
On Thursday, Zimbabwe secured a hard-fought 2-2 draw against Benin Cheetahs in a match played in South Africa.
The Zimbabwean delegation landed in Lagos on Saturday morning before taking a connecting flight to Uyo for their upcoming fixture.
Meanwhile, Nigeria’s Super Eagles revived their World Cup hopes with a comprehensive 2-0 victory over Rwanda’s Amavubi on Friday in Kigali, sending a strong warning to the Zimbabweans ahead of Tuesday’s match.
The encounter will take place at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.
