2027: Tinubu’s achievements, future plans to drive APC campaign, says Yari

Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Abdulaziz Yari, says the party will base its campaign for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election on the administration’s achievements and plans for the future.

Yari said the campaign would highlight the government’s record in infrastructure development and its impact on the lives of ordinary Nigerians as the party seeks another presidential mandate in the January 16, 2027, election.

He stated this on Wednesday in Abuja while accepting his appointment as director-general following the inauguration of the council by Tinubu.

Yari said he had already begun communicating the campaign’s proposed message to traditional rulers and religious leaders, stressing that the administration’s performance would be central to its appeal to voters.

“As we start going around to royal fathers and clerics, this is the message I have been sending today: our campaign is going to be centred on what you have done and what you are going to do in the future,” he said.

The former Zamfara State governor praised Tinubu’s infrastructure projects and policies, claiming that the administration had made a difference in the lives of ordinary Nigerians.

“You have touched the life of an ordinary man. You have been there in infrastructure, building the iron road as if the money is nothing,” he said.

Yari pledged to work with members of the campaign council and other party stakeholders to secure Tinubu’s re-election, urging them to set aside personal ambitions and focus on their collective assignment.

“It’s no time for ego. We are all one in this business. We have only one agenda. What is that agenda? To ensure that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu returns as President,” he said.
