The Invited Junior Athletes (IJA) are punching above their weight, occupying the sixth position with 2 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze medal.

Defending champions and competition favourites Delta State are in a distant seventh place after Day 3, with just 1 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze medal.

A total of 71 medals have been won so far, comprising 23 gold, 23 silver, and 25 bronze medals, as the festival continues to build momentum in terms of excitement, competition, and quality.

The Director General of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Honourable Bukola Olopade, has appealed to journalists covering the games to refer only to the official medals table released by the Commission, rather than unverified tables circulating online.

Action continues today (Wednesday) across the various sports venues, as we await more competitive drama on the medals table.
