Easter Message: Shettima preaches hope, backs Tinubu’s reforms

Vice President Kashim Shettima has called on Nigerians to remain hopeful and united amid the country’s current economic and security challenges, assuring that ongoing reforms by the federal government will eventually lead to better days.

In his Easter message released on Sunday, Shettima said the present difficulties being experienced by citizens are temporary and necessary for the country’s long-term recovery and prosperity under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The Vice President said Easter, which symbolises sacrifice, hope and resurrection in the Christian faith, offers a powerful lesson for Nigeria at this critical time.

According to him, the season serves as a reminder that hardship does not last forever and that hope can overcome despair.

“Easter is a reminder that history often bends in favour of those who refuse to surrender to despair. It is the story of light piercing through darkness, of hope rising from the shadows of pain, and of faith prevailing over fear,” he said.

The Vice President also urged citizens to support the Tinubu administration’s reforms, stressing that meaningful national progress requires patience, endurance and cooperation among Nigerians.

He expressed confidence that through collective sacrifice, unity and faith in the country’s future, Nigeria will overcome its current problems.
