According to Adeleke, “The establishment of a university here in Modakeke is a milestone achievement, which aligns with our drive to boost the educational sector. I charge you to ensure that the proposed university for which the foundation is being laid today becomes one of the best in Nigeria, both academically and culturally.”

Also speaking, the founder of Curators University, Olusola Amusan, called for stronger public-private partnerships to develop tertiary institutions in the country, noting that “for the university, there are education endowment funds, there are federal government funds, and in the area of loans, specifically, we believe that to get cutting-edge education, there is a cost that comes with it, and sometimes it could be a premium.

“So our goal will be to support the community and all our students with such partnerships, whether private or government, that will enable them to access the education we are providing here.”

Earlier, the Chairman of the Curators University Groundbreaking Planning Committee, Abimbola Amusan, said: “We envision this land transforming into a global academic and innovation hub that will empower youth, create jobs, and spark economic growth for generations to come.”

In his remarks, Oba Olubiyi urged sons and daughters of the town in the diaspora to emulate the founder’s initiative by giving back to society.
