Adeleke to Tinubu: I reaffirm my support for your 2027 bid

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has expressed appreciation to President Bola Tinubu for what he described as a free and fair governorship election in the state.

Adeleke, who spoke on Sunday after the election, described Tinubu as a son of Osun State and reaffirmed his earlier endorsement of the President for a second term in the 2027 presidential election.

“I must deeply appreciate the President, Bola Tinubu, for a free and fair election. Mr President is a son of Osun State,” Adeleke said.

The governor added, “I hereby reaffirm my earlier endorsement of him for a second term in the 2027 presidential election.”

Tinubu had earlier called Adeleke to congratulate him on his re-election, describing the outcome as an assurance that democracy will continue to flourish in Nigeria.

Western Post reports that Adeleke polled 511,067 votes across the 30 local government areas, while the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, scored 444,815 votes. The African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate, Dr Najeem Salaam, recorded 17,180 votes.
