Adeleke: Tinubu needs second term to deliver reforms

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has backed President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid, arguing that four years would not be enough for the President’s reforms to produce the desired results.
Adeleke, who belongs to the Accord Party, said Tinubu deserved a second term to consolidate his policies, expressing confidence that the President would return to the Presidential Villa after the January 2027 election.
The governor spoke on Wednesday at the inauguration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council at the State House Banquet Hall, Abuja.
“We must give our father, the President of this nation, time for his reform to work. It’s not easy. Four years is not enough,” Adeleke said.
“That is why I’m here to throw my weight.”
Declaring confidence in Tinubu’s electoral chances, the governor urged supporters to intensify mobilisation efforts ahead of the poll.
“Nobody can stop this movement,” he said, adding, “We’re going to sing, we’re going to dance all the way back to Aso Rock.”
Adeleke said preparations for the election had already begun, urging supporters to focus on the task of securing the President’s return to office.
“We don’t have time. The work has begun. I’ve already started mine,” he said.
“Let us rise and make sure our President comes back for the second time.”
He also called on Nigerians to continue praying for Tinubu, saying the success of the administration would benefit the country.
