APC inaugurates campaign council for Remo federal constituency by-election

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has inaugurated its Campaign Council and Committee for the upcoming by-election into the House of Representatives for the Remo Federal Constituency, scheduled for August 16, 2025.

The by-election was necessitated by the death of Hon. Adewunmi Onanuga, who previously represented the constituency comprising Ikenne, Remo North, and Sagamu local government areas.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony held at the Multipurpose Hall of the Akarigbo Palace in Sagamu, Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, urged party stakeholders to unite and work tirelessly to ensure victory for the APC candidate, Hon. Adesola Elegbeji.

He emphasized the importance of cooperation and grassroots mobilization to secure a resounding win for the party.

Leading the Campaign Advisory Council is Chief Yemi Sanusi as Chairman, with Senator Lekan Mustapha as Vice Chairman and Hon. Yemi Adelani as Director-General. Other prominent members include Hon. Ola Oresanya (Deputy DG), Rt. Hon. Tunji Egbetokun, Femi Ogunbanwo, Adegbesan Joseph, Apostle Biodun Sanyaolu, Chief Derin Adebiyi, and Chief Pegba Otemolu.

Also on the council are Mr. Dapo Okubadejo, Engr. Ade Akinsanya, Hon. Funmi Efuwape, Jagunmolu Akande Omoniyi, Bolu Owotomo, Chief Jide Ojuko, Hon. Biyi Adeleye, Hon. Wole Sowole, Hon. Sikirulah Ogundele, Hon. Akinlade Abubakar, Evan Joshua Ifede, and several others.

The Campaign Committee is composed of over 70 members, including Hon. Abdul Bashir, Alhaji Shamsideen Apelogun, Hon. Toyin Jekami, Hon. Nurudeen Adewale, Chief Laide Okunola, Mrs. Yetunde Akinluyi, Barr. Adeleke Solarin, and Hon. Kayode Segun-Okeowo, among others.

The APC in Ogun State expressed confidence in the team’s capacity to deliver victory and uphold the legacy of effective representation in the Remo Federal Constituency.
