APC rules out removing Ganduje as chairman at NEC meeting

The National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ajibola Basiru, has dismissed speculations that the party’s national chairman, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, will be removed during the party’s Caucus and National Executive Committee (NEC) meetings scheduled for September 11 and 12.

Speaking during a courtesy visit by the Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Sule, to the party’s national leadership in Abuja on Friday, Basiru stated that the rumors of Ganduje’s potential removal were surprising to the party leadership.

He clarified the status of the party’s chairman, stressing that none of the upcoming meetings are intended for a leadership change within the party.
