BBNaija season 9: TAMI pair evicted as show takes interesting turn

In the “No Loose Guard” season of BBNaija, the first eviction has taken place just one week into the show. In a surprising twist, the pair Tami (Toyosi and Damilola) have been evicted from BBNaija Season 9 after ending up in the bottom four pairs on the first eviction night.
Unlike previous seasons, the bottom four pairs were chosen via audience votes. It was revealed that Chekas, Radicals, Tami, and Streeze were up for possible eviction during the live eviction show held on Sunday, August 4, 2024.
In addition to gaining immunity, The Custodians earned the right to save housemates from possible eviction. After much deliberation and a nudge from Biggie, Ndinne saved the Radicals. With three pairs still up for possible eviction, the remaining housemates were tasked with voting for the pair they wanted evicted, resulting in Tami becoming the first pair to leave Big Brother’s house.
During their onstage interview with Ebuka, Toyosi disclosed that although she was disappointed to leave so early, she was not surprised, as her partner, Damilola, had issues with most of the housemates. Damilola admitted that she tried mending broken bonds once she realized she had offended many people. “I guess my apology didn’t go anywhere,” she added.
Based on the voting polls, Tami indeed were set to be evicted after they amassed 2.21% of the total votes. Streeze came next with 4.58%, Radicals with 4.81%, and Chekas with 5.12%.
