Big Brother expels Keivo from competition following clash with Tram

Big Brother Season 11 housemate, Keivo, has been disqualified from the “Show Ya Sef” competition following a physical attack on fellow housemate Tram, which escalated into violence and ultimately ended his stay in the Big Brother house.

The incident, which happened on Monday night, started as a disagreement that quickly escalated into physical violence. Big Brother had previously warned housemates about the implications of resorting to physical violence during their stay in the house.

However, Keivo was identified as the perpetrator of the violent act, leading to his dismissal from the competition and subsequent disqualification.

In an official address to the housemates on Tuesday, Biggie described the incident as a serious breach of the rules governing housemate conduct and safety in the house. After playing a clip of the incident for the housemates, he noted that considerable leniency had been shown throughout the season in the expectation that housemates would understand their boundaries and exercise restraint during moments of disagreement.

Big Brother stressed that disagreements and misunderstandings are inevitable in the house, but how housemates choose to respond to them remains their responsibility.

“No disagreement, accusation or personal grievance justifies violence. Violence is never an option,” he said.

Big Brother urged the remaining housemates to conduct themselves with maturity, respect and self-control for the remainder of their stay, including in how they respond to Big Brother’s calls and tasks. He also reminded them that the pressures of the game, frustrations of communal living and personal conflicts do not excuse their actions.

Keivo’s disqualification makes it the second disqualification in the “Show Ya Sef” season, following Nomy’s disqualification for disobedience. With Keivo’s exit, nine housemates are left in the competition for the ₦160 million grand prize.
