Buhari appoints Bolarinwa NBC chairman

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Hon. Bashir Bolarinwa as the new Chairman of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC).

Bolarinwa’s appointment was disclosed in a statement by the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, announcing the reconstitution of NBC governing board.

According to the statement, other members of the board are Mr. Wada Asab Ibrahim, Mr. Iheanyichukwu Azubike Dike, Mrs. Adesola Oyinloye Ndu and Mr. Olaniyan Olatunji Badmus.

Other board members are Mr. Bashir Ibrahim, Mr. Obiora Ilo, Mr, Ahmad Sajo, Mr. Bayo Erikitola, a representative of the Department of State Service, a representative of the Federal Ministry of Information and Culture as well as the Director-General of the Commission.

The board has a three-year tenure.
