Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested prominent Lagos socialite, Emeka Okonkwo Daniel, popularly known as E-Money, over alleged abuse of the Nigerian currency.

E-Money was reportedly picked up on the night of Monday, April 28, at his residence in the Omole area of Lagos.

It was gathered on Tuesday that the socialite is being investigated for allegedly spraying United States dollars at public events, a practice that may contravene provisions of the Foreign Exchange Act and regulations against currency abuse.
