A prominent cleric, Prophet Sam Olu Alo, has urged Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, to remain responsive to the needs and aspirations of residents as he begins a new term in office.

The cleric made the call in a statement released through his personal assistant, Hon. Deji Ogunbusuyi, shortly after the governor’s re-election.

In his address, Olu Alo advised the governor to embrace a servant-leadership approach, saying such a style of governance would help sustain the goodwill and support he currently enjoys among the people.

He also called for a more inclusive administration that accommodates stakeholders, political interests and communities across the state in the development process.

While congratulating Oyebanji on his electoral victory, the cleric said the outcome reflected the confidence reposed in him by the electorate.

According to him, the governor’s efforts in infrastructure development, agriculture and social welfare programmes contributed significantly to his renewed mandate.

“Governor Oyebanji should build on the achievements of his first term and continue to deliver good governance that will positively impact the lives of Ekiti people,” he said.

The cleric also prayed for divine guidance, wisdom and strength for the governor, expressing hope that his administration would bring greater development and prosperity to the state.
