Ekiti police launch search for missing 21-year-old BOUESTI student

The Ekiti State Police Command has launched a search for a 21-year-old student of Bamidele Olumilua University of Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti, Kehinde Adebiyi, who has been missing since July 3, 2026.
Adebiyi, a 100-level student of the university, reportedly left his residence in the Abete area of Ikere-Ekiti on the said date but has not returned or been seen by his family and friends.
The command disclosed this in a statement issued on Friday by its Police Public Relations Officer, SP Sunday Abutu, saying efforts to locate the student had yet to yield any result.
The police said investigations had commenced to unravel the circumstances surrounding Adebiyi’s disappearance, while appealing to residents to provide any information that could assist the search.
According to the command, the missing student is about 1.69 metres tall, light-skinned and has no tribal marks.
It added that Adebiyi speaks both English and Yoruba fluently, urging anyone who may have seen him or have information about his whereabouts to contact the nearest police station.
The command provided the telephone number +2349064050086 for members of the public to pass relevant information to the police.
The police also appealed to residents to share the information widely, stressing that public assistance could help in locating Adebiyi and reuniting him with his family.
