FAAN clears Bolt to resume operations at Nigerian airports

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has authorised Bolt to resume operations at airports across the country following discussions with the e-hailing company.
FAAN announced the decision on Thursday, saying it followed constructive engagements with Bolt to develop an operational framework acceptable to both parties.
The development comes days after FAAN clarified that it had not imposed a ban on e-hailing platforms such as Bolt and Uber at Nigerian airports.
The authority had faced public attention over the status of e-hailing services at airports, prompting further discussions with operators on how they could continue their activities within an agreed framework.
Following the latest engagement, FAAN said Bolt had been cleared to recommence its airport operations.
The authority also indicated that it was engaging other e-hailing platforms as part of efforts to establish a structured system for their operations at Nigerian airports.
The authority is expected to provide further details on the agreed operational framework as the engagement with e-hailing companies progresses.
