Ibikunle appeared before Chief Magistrate Festus Akinlolu on a single count of fraud.

According to the prosecution, the incident occurred in March 2025 at about 12:20 p.m. in the Araromi-Obu area of the state.

The police prosecutor, Inspector Usifoh James, told the court that the defendant fraudulently collected the sum of N410,000 from one Olabode Olasupo under the pretense of supplying him palm kernel.

He allegedly failed to deliver the goods and instead converted the money for personal use.

Inspector James requested an adjournment to allow time to review the case file and prepare his witnesses.

The defendant’s counsel, Mr. D.I. Eliphus, did not oppose the request but urged the court to grant bail on liberal terms.

In his ruling, Magistrate Akinlolu granted the defendant bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum. The case was adjourned to August 22, 2025, for further hearing.
