Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has appointed Bashorun Akinwale Akinwole, popularly known as Wolekanle, as his new chief of staff following the resignation of Segun Ogunwuyi from the position.
The governor also appointed Mrs. Aderonke Adedayo as director-general of the Due Process Office.
The appointments were announced in letters signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Musibau Babatunde.
Akinwole, a grassroots politician, previously served as chairman of the Oyo State Local Government Service Commission, where he was involved in the administration of local government affairs across the state.
Adedayo, who currently serves as special adviser on General Intervention and Donor Agencies, will combine the new position with her existing responsibilities.
According to the announcement, both appointments take immediate effect.
In the statement, Makinde congratulated the appointees and urged them to discharge their responsibilities with loyalty, commitment and dedication to the service of Oyo State.
The appointment of Akinwole follows Ogunwuyi’s resignation, a development that has drawn attention to changes within the governor’s administration.
