Governor Adeleke pays tribute to late Owamiran of Esa-Oke

The Governor of ‎Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, has expressed condolences to the people of Esa-Oke in Obokun Local Government Area over the death of the Owamiran of Esa-Oke, Oba Adeyemi Akanbi Adediran.
‎
‎The revered monarch reportedly passed on in the early hours of Wednesday, May 6, 2026.
‎
‎In a condolence message issued by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, on Thursday, Adeleke described the late monarch as a respected traditional ruler whose reign was marked by wisdom, humility and unwavering commitment to the unity and development of Esa-Oke and the entire Ijesa land.
‎
‎The governor said he received the news of the monarch’s transition with a heavy heart, noting that Osun State had lost a distinguished royal father and a custodian of cultural values.
‎
‎According to him, the late Owamiran’s reign reflected maturity, peace and dedication to communal progress, adding that his wise counsel and stabilising influence would be greatly missed across the state.
‎
‎Adeleke further noted that the monarch played significant roles in fostering harmony and development within Obokun Local Government Area and beyond.
‎
‎He added, “Kabiyesi’s reign reflected humility, maturity and an enduring commitment to peace and development. His wise counsel and stabilising influence will be greatly missed not only by the people of Esa-Oke, but by the entire state.”
‎
‎He said the late royal father left behind enduring legacies of honour, integrity and selfless leadership, stressing that his contributions to community development and the strengthening of traditional institutions would remain memorable.
