Governor Eno advises youth to pursue dreams at daughter’s worship concert

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has urged young people to remain committed to their dreams and aspirations, saying determination and hard work will eventually make their visions a reality.

The governor gave the advice during the “Worship with Jayne Music Concert,” organised by his daughter, Mrs. Jayne Ufot, where he commended her resilience and commitment in bringing the programme to fruition.

Speaking at the event, Eno said he has always encouraged his children to pursue their passions provided they align with godly values. He noted that Jayne’s persistence in promoting the concert demonstrated the importance of believing in one’s vision despite doubts from others.

“Each of us has a vision, and needs to work hard towards it. Sometimes people may not believe in that vision, but you are the owner of the vision. You don’t mind what people say; you pursue the vision and when the vision speaks, everyone will see it,” he said.

The governor also praised his daughter’s organisational ability, describing her as a “master event planner,” and appreciated guests and supporters for contributing to the success of the worship programme.

Delivering an exhortation, the Lead Pastor of God of Wonders (G.O.W) Service and Ministry, Evangelist Ayang-Ifiok Umoren, said worship is about a person’s relationship with God and fellow human beings. Citing 2 Chronicles 20:21-22, he stressed that worship creates an atmosphere for divine intervention.

In her remarks, the convener of the concert, Mrs. Ufot, popularly known as Jayne Jesus, said the event was the fulfilment of a childhood vision to gather people in sincere worship rather than entertainment. She thanked her father, Governor Eno, her late mother and everyone who attended the programme.

The concert featured gospel ministrations by Progress Effiong, Chris Vic, Rehosax, Ity Charis, Joseph Festus and the Harmonic Choral.
