Hon. Etti rates Gateway Games facilities, organisation high

The President of the Para Athletics Federation of Nigeria, Honourable Rafiu Olawale Etti, has commended the organisation of the ongoing 22nd National Sports Festival in Abeokuta, describing the facilities provided by the Ogun State Government as world-class.

Speaking to journalists at the MKO Abiola International Stadium on Friday, Honourable Etti, who is also part of the Lagos State contingent, acknowledged that although a few challenges were observed, they are being promptly addressed by both the Main Organising Committee (MOC) and the Local Organising Committee (LOC).

“Yes, the facilities at MKO Stadium, Alake Sports Centre, and Ikenne are good and in line with global standards,” he remarked.

He also expressed confidence in the ability of Team Lagos to excel at the festival, assuring that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is committed to rewarding medal-winning athletes at the end of the event.

Honourable Etti further assured Lagos athletes of his personal support, describing the biennial sports fiesta as one that has consistently lived up to expectations in promoting national unity and sporting excellence.
