I once escaped irate mob over Naira Marley – Jude Chukwuka

Nigerian actor Jude Chukwuka has revealed that he once escaped an attack by an irate mob who mistook him for the father of singer Naira Marley.

Speaking in a recent interview, Chukwuka recounted how he was attacked in Ikorodu, Lagos State, following the death of singer Mohbad.

According to him, a group of unidentified men assaulted him, believing he was related to Naira Marley, who had been accused of involvement in Mohbad’s untimely death.

“I understood from the beginning that blaming Naira Marley for Mohbad’s death was a personal attack on him,” Chukwuka said. “But some people saw it as an opportunity to gain fame. A group of men attacked me on a film set in Ikorodu, claiming that my son was responsible for Mohbad’s death.”

He explained that he had to clarify his identity to the attackers.

“I informed them that I am not Naira Marley’s father. I told them that my home is in Delta State, while he is from Abeokuta in Ogun State,” he added.
