By Adejayan Gbenga –
The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the Ibadan North Federal Constituency by-election, Hon. Olatunji Adewale, popularly known as “Murphy,” has lost his polling unit.
At Ward 10, Unit 27, where he cast his vote, Adewale received six votes, while the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle, secured nine votes.
A total of 17 valid ballots were recorded out of 248 registered voters at the unit, underscoring the low turnout that has characterised the by-election.
Collation of results across the constituency is still ongoing, with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) expected to announce the official outcome after the exercise.
