‘I’ll not let Nigerians down,’ Tinubu vows at at Renewed Hope Ambassadors meeting

President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his commitment to ongoing economic and governance reforms, insisting that his administration remains focused on improving the welfare of Nigerians and building a more stable and prosperous country.

Speaking on Thursday in Abuja while receiving members of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors led by Governor Hope Uzodimma, Tinubu said the government is working to replace long-standing economic structures that have hindered national development with reforms aimed at expanding participation and opportunity.

According to him, the well-being of citizens remains central to his administration’s agenda.

“I will not let Nigerians down,” the President said, assuring that reforms will continue to target poverty reduction and improved livelihoods, especially for vulnerable groups.

The meeting at the State House brought together top government officials, including Vice President Kashim Shettima and the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, alongside several state governors and political stakeholders.

Tinubu urged members of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors to intensify grassroots mobilisation and public enlightenment on government policies, saying citizen participation is key to national development.

“You represent the conscience of a nation that wants to break the shackles of poverty and hopelessness,” he said, calling on them to continue engaging communities across the country.

He also defended his administration’s reforms and emphasised adherence to democratic principles, including the rule of law and separation of powers, stressing that national progress depends on shared vision and unity.
