Isiaka Adelabu named Federal Polytechnic Ayede substantive rector

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of Dr. Isiaka Tunji Adelabu as the substantive rector of the Federal Polytechnic Ayede in Oyo State.

The appointment, which took effect Aug. 5, 2026, was announced by the institution’s acting Director of the Centre for Information, Communication and Public Relations, Mr. Sunday Adepoju.

Adepoju, quoting a statement by the Registrar, Mr. Akinlolu Akinpade, said the appointment followed the completion of the necessary processes for selecting a substantive rector.

Before his appointment, Adelabu was a chartered accountant and chief lecturer in the Department of Accountancy at the Federal Polytechnic Ede in Osun State.

He also served the institution in various administrative capacities, including head of department, dean of school and deputy rector, administration.

According to the Registrar, Adelabu’s academic contributions, professional experience and administrative competence would support the continued growth and development of the Federal Polytechnic Ayede.

With the appointment, Adelabu becomes the second substantive rector of the institution, while the management expressed confidence in his ability to provide purposeful leadership and advance its vision and mission.

The registrarw, on behalf of the Governing Council, management, staff and students, called for their support and cooperation for the new rector and wished him wisdom and strength in his new role.
