Coalition: El-Rufai, Adewole Adebayo meet Aregbesola
Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, on Friday held a closed-door meeting with former Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola, and the 2023 Social Democratic Party (SDP) presidential candidate, Prince Adewole Adebayo.
The high-level meeting, which took place in Lagos, centred on ongoing discussions around the formation of a proposed political coalition.
While details of the meeting were not made public, sources familiar with the development disclosed that the trio explored strategies for building a broad-based alliance aimed at reshaping Nigeria’s political landscape ahead of future elections.
The meeting is the latest in a series of consultations among prominent political figures amid growing calls for a new coalition that can challenge the current political order.
