Traditional rulers from Kwara North Senatorial District have expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, over the emergence of a candidate from the district as the governorship flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress for the 2027 election.
The monarchs gave the commendation during a thank-you visit to Governor AbdulRazaq following the emergence of the Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Salihu Yakubu Danladi, as the APC governorship candidate.
The delegation of traditional rulers was led by the Etsu Patigi, Ibrahim Umar Bologi II, alongside other first-class monarchs from various districts in Kwara North Senatorial District.
Speaking during the visit at Ahmadu Bello House in Ilorin, the Etsu Patigi said the people of Kwara North were grateful to President Tinubu, Governor AbdulRazaq, and other APC stakeholders for supporting the emergence of a candidate from the region.
According to him, the emergence of Danladi as the party’s flagbearer was a response to the long-standing agitation by the people of Kwara North for fairness and inclusion in the state’s political leadership.
