The Executive Secretary of the Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Abdulkadri Abdulsalam, has announced Friday, April 11, 2025, as the deadline for completing Hajj 2025 payments for intending pilgrims from the state.

Abdulsalam made the announcement during an interview in Ilorin on Tuesday.

He stated that the total cost for this year’s Hajj exercise is ₦8,459,000 and appealed to all intending pilgrims who have made part payments to complete their balance before the April 11 deadline, as no extensions will be granted.

According to him, the Board will not accept any payments after this date. He also urged pilgrims to submit their international passports for visa processing without delay, noting that only valid passports with at least six months’ validity will be accepted. He emphasized that early submission is crucial to avoid last-minute complications with visa issuance.

Regarding the conduct of pilgrims, he urged all intending participants to maintain exemplary behaviour throughout their journey, reminding them that they represent not just themselves but Kwara State as a whole, and should uphold the highest standards of morality and decorum.

He added that the Board will soon announce dates for the mandatory enlightenment programmes and vaccination exercises, which will provide essential information on Hajj rites, travel protocols, and health requirements.

The Secretary assured pilgrims that the programmes are designed to prepare them adequately for the spiritual journey.

He also confirmed that Max Air has been contracted as the official airline to transport Kwara State pilgrims for the 2025 pilgrimage.
