Lagos Chief of Staff mourns passing of Onigbongbo LCDA Chairman
The Chief of Staff to the Lagos State Governor, Tayo Ayinde, has expressed profound sadness over the passing of Hon. Dotun Olakanle, the Executive Chairman of Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA).
In a condolence message released on Saturday, Ayinde extended his sympathies to Olakanle’s family, colleagues, and the entire Onigbongbo community, describing the loss as “irreparable” and one that leaves him with “immense grief and sorrow.”
Ayinde’s statement highlighted Hon. Olakanle’s dedication as a visionary leader and devoted public servant who championed community development within Onigbongbo.
“His tireless efforts and selfless service transformed lives and improved the well-being of Onigbongbo’s residents,” Ayinde said, praising the late chairman’s lasting impact on the community through numerous projects and initiatives.
Recalling Olakanle’s “outstanding commitment, wisdom, and compassion,” Ayinde offered words of comfort, hoping that the people and government find “strength and solace” during this difficult period.
He concluded with prayers for the repose of Olakanle’s soul, saying, “May Hon. Olakanle’s soul rest in perfect peace.”
