Lagos shines at Gateway Games 2024, vows more podium finishes
Lagos State has made a strong impression at the ongoing 22nd National Sports Festival, tagged Gateway Games 2024, currently taking place in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The event, recognized as Nigeria’s largest platform for unearthing sporting talents and fostering national unity, has seen Lagos athletes display skill, energy, and resilience across various sporting events.
Director General of the Lagos State Sports Commission, Mr. Lekan Fatodu, assured fans and stakeholders that the Lagos contingent is fully prepared to deliver outstanding performances and secure podium finishes throughout the competition.
Fatodu, in a post shared via his verified Instagram handle @lf_champ, called on sports enthusiasts to look forward to more thrilling moments from Lagos athletes, noting that they are highly motivated and ready to dominate.
“What you’re witnessing here is the result of visionary leadership,” he stated. “Mr. Governor has given Lagos athletes the platform to shine through strategic planning, infrastructure, and an environment where sports talent can truly flourish.”
