The Lagos State Government has announced the commencement of its annual ministerial press briefing, during which members of the cabinet will present the achievements of the Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Obafemi Hamzat administration over the past year.

The state Ministry of Information and Strategy disclosed this in a statement issued on Saturday by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso.

According to Omotoso, the ministerial briefing will commence on May 11, 2026, and will feature presentations by various ministries, departments and agencies of government.

He said the annual event provides a platform for ministries, departments and agencies to present the achievements of the administration under the developmental pillars of the THEMES+ Agenda.

“The annual event provides an important platform for Ministries, Departments and Agencies to present to the good people of Lagos State, in facts and figures, the achievements of the present administration across various developmental pillars of the THEMES+ Agenda,” he said.

Omotoso added that the briefing would also provide an opportunity for the government to engage residents on efforts aimed at improving their welfare and delivering more development across the state.

He noted that this year’s edition is particularly significant because it comes ahead of the 2027 general elections, adding that it would enable residents to assess the performance of the administration and gain insight into plans for a greater Lagos.

The commissioner further stated that the ministerial press briefing reflects the administration’s commitment to transparency, accountability and inclusive governance. He added that all sessions of the briefing would be streamed live on the state government’s social media platforms.
