The Lagos State Government has unveiled its plans for Invest in Lagos Summit 3.0, a flagship international investment platform being organised in partnership with the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC).
Speaking at a media briefing in Marina, Lagos, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu announced that the summit will hold on June 9 and 10, 2026.
According to the governor, the summit is designed to strengthen Lagos’ position as Africa’s leading hub for investment, trade and financial innovation, noting that the state aims at attracting capital to convert investment discussions into real projects.
He further disclosed that previous editions of the summit improved the global investment visibility of Lagos and encouraged engagement with investors across key sectors.
Sanwo-Olu added that the summit aligns with the state’s long-term development plans, including the T.H.E.M.E.S+ Agenda and the Lagos State Development Plan 2052.
Western Post confirmed that the event will have in attendance between 500 to 600 high-level delegates including institutional investors, development finance institutions, multinational companies and senior public sector leaders from different countries.
In her remarks, the chief executive officer of CWEIC, Samantha Cohen, described Lagos as one of the most important cities in Africa and a major business hub within the Commonwealth network, adding that the partnership reflects confidence in Lagos as a strong investment destination.
In the same vein, the commissioner for Commerce, Cooperatives, Trade and Investment, Mrs. Folashade Bada-Ambrose, said Lagos draws global investors to itself due to its leadership structure and clear economic plans, while noting that Invest Lagos 3.0 will showcase the state’s readiness to deliver bankable projects and structured opportunities.
