Liverpool defeat confirms Ndidi’s Leicester City relegation

Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi and Leicester City have been relegated from the Premier League after a disappointing home loss to Liverpool on Sunday.

The Foxes fell 1-0 to the title-chasing Reds, sealing their drop to the English Championship for the fifth time in the club’s history. Despite having five matches left in the season, Leicester have managed only 18 points from 33 games, making survival mathematically impossible.

Ndidi started the match but was substituted late in the game as Leicester struggled to find a breakthrough against a dominant Liverpool side.

Earlier this season, Southampton, featuring Nigerian internationals Paul Onuachu and Joe Aribo, became the first team confirmed relegated from the Premier League.
