Nasarawa Governor Abdullahi Sule wins re-election

Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule has won re-election for a second term in office after being declared winner of Saturday’s election in the state.
INEC Returning Officer in the state, Ishaya Tanko, declared Sule of the All Progressives Congress (APC) the winner of the election on Monday.
Sule polled 347, 209 votes to defeat his closest opponent David Ombugadu, of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who got 283, 016 votes.
“Abdullahi Sule of APC, having satisfied the requirements of the law and scored the highest number of votes in the election, is hereby declared the winner and returned elected,” Tanko said at the state collation centre.
