NCC emerges third in 2026 public service rankings

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has emerged third among Federal Government Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) in the Bureau of Public Service Reforms’ (BPSR) 2026 Public Service Reforms Performance Assessment.
The ranking followed a thorough evaluation using key reform indicators such as the Self‑Assessment Tool (SAT), Freedom of Information (FOI) compliance, the Fiscal Transparency and Integrity Index, and official website performance metrics.
The Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) and the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) took first and second places, respectively.
The BPSR assessment recognizes MDAs that have shown notable progress in implementing public service reforms and improving service delivery.
In addition to institutional awards, 20 individuals from federal, state, and local governments received distinguished public service excellence and leadership awards for outstanding performance.
Among the honorees were the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Walson‑Jack, and the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals, Mrs. Adejoke Adefulire.
At the awards ceremony in Abuja on Tuesday, Executive Commissioner, Technical Services, Engr. Abraham Oshadami represented the Executive Vice Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the NCC, Dr. Aminu Maida.
Oshadami thanked the BPSR for maintaining the annual assessment, praising the framework for driving continuous improvement across the public service.
