Nigeria’s economy on path to recovery — Senator Fadahunsi
By Deborah Oladejo, Osogbo –
The Senator representing Osun East Senatorial District, Senator Francis Fadahunsi, has said that Nigeria’s economy is on the path to recovery under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
Speaking with newsmen in his hometown, Ilase-Ijesa, on Sunday, Fadahunsi said the government’s economic policies are beginning to yield results, noting that though challenges remain, the situation is improving.
He noted that while not everyone may agree with President Tinubu’s economic policy, it is now yielding positive results. According to him, Nigeria remains the best in Africa, and the nation must continue to support and pray for the President’s success and good health.
Fadahunsi acknowledged that the prices of food items are still high but expressed optimism that before the end of the year or early next year, things would improve, and there would be mass production.
The senator appreciated President Tinubu for initiating developmental projects in Ife/Ijesa and assured that the region would soon enjoy more dividends of democracy.
“The Federal Government will start the rehabilitation of the Ibadan/Ile-Ife/Ilesa road, and I can tell you that they will start from the Ilesa end,” he disclosed.
Fadahunsi, who recently joined the All Progressives Congress (APC), said he had encouraged his colleagues at the National Assembly to do the same.
He advised remaining members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) not to “sink with the ship,” stressing that the party had lost direction and that those still in it should move to the APC, which he described as the party with a genuine agenda for development.
