Nollywood actor, Dejumo Lewis dies aged

The Nollywood industry has lost one of its icons, Dejumo Lewis, who passed away at the age of 80.
The news of his death was announced by fellow actor, Saidi Balogun, on his Instagram page on Saturday.
He posted a picture of the late legend and wrote, “Good night DEJUMO LEWIS, may your soul rest in perfect peace. RIP.”
The cause of Lewis’ death is still unknown, but his fans and colleagues have expressed their grief and sympathy online.
Lewis was a renowned film and television actor, best known for playing the Kabiyesi role in The Village Headmaster, the longest-running TV drama series in Nigeria that aired on NTA from 1968 to 1988 and featured stars like Justus Esiri and Femi Robinson among others.
He also starred in several acclaimed movies such as “A Place in the Stars” (2014), “Crossroads” (2020), and “Power of 1” (2018).
