Nollywood producer Ada Anachunam passes away

Nollywood filmmaker Ada Anachunam has passed away.
The news of her death was announced recently by close friends on social media.
A statement from the Anachunam and Abazi families read: “With profound sorrow and heavy hearts, we announce the devastating loss of our beloved Ada Anachunam, a cherished Nollywood producer. Former vice president of ANCOP and current vice president of GEMPC, her life was tragically cut short in the early hours of today, March 13, 2025.
“We are heartbroken by this sudden and immeasurable loss. Details regarding funeral arrangements will be shared in due course. May her beautiful soul find eternal peace.”
Anachunam, a former vice president of the Association of Nollywood Core Producers (ANCOP) and vice president of the Guild of Elite Motion Picture Creators (GEMPC), died in the early hours of Thursday, March 13, 2025.
She passed away at Emirate Hospital in Ajah, Lagos, after a brief illness.
Some of her notable works include Single Moms, Lost Love, My Promise, After Death, and 25 Minutes Late.
