NSIPA disburses N24.7bn to 991,261 beneficiaries under Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda

The National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA) has announced the release of N24.7 billion for the payment of 991,261 household beneficiaries across Nigeria’s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The funds, aimed at alleviating poverty and improving the livelihoods of vulnerable Nigerians, were disbursed by the National Cash Transfer Office.

According to a statement signed by the National Coordinator and CEO of NSIPA, Assoc. Prof. Badamasi Lawal, the payments were made in two phases.

In August 2024, N3.8 billion was distributed to 153,038 households, while N20.9 billion was paid to 838,223 households in September. Each household received N25,000 through their respective Financial Service Providers (FSP).

The Renewed Hope Conditional Cash Transfer (RH-CCT) is a key initiative of Tinubu’s administration, designed to cushion the economic shocks faced by poor and vulnerable Nigerian households. The program aims to reduce poverty, improve household finances, and enhance savings.

In addition to financial support, the RH-CCT provides health and nutritional benefits, enabling beneficiaries to improve their well-being.

The program also offers emotional and social benefits by promoting better livelihoods, interpersonal relationships, and family happiness.
