The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has announced its readiness to commence operations at the newly built passport office in Ogbomoso, Oyo State.

This follows an inspection of the facility by the Controller of the state’s command, Joseph Dada.

During the visit to the office, located along the Ogbomoso-Ilorin highway, Controller Dada commended the community’s efforts in providing a suitable structure for the takeoff of the passport office.

The state controller emphasized that the presence of the passport office would boost local commerce and development in Ogbomoso.

He also stressed the importance of unity and cooperation among community members, stating, “The passport office is the pride of Ogbomoso. Its success depends on our collective effort. Let’s see it as a shared asset.”

Chairman of the building project committee, Alhaji Monsur Ejide, expressed appreciation to the Nigeria Immigration Service and reiterated the community’s eagerness to see the facility put to use.

“We are ready. The sooner operations begin, the better. This building should not be left unused for too long,” Ejide said.
