Oluremi Tinubu wins 2024 Woman of the Year award

First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has been named 2024 Woman of the Year by Independent Newspaper in recognition of her contributions to national development.
The award honors her impact not only as Nigeria’s First Lady but also for her past roles as a legislator and former First Lady of Lagos State.
Representing Senator Tinubu at the event, Hajia Fatima Tajudeen Abass, wife of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, conveyed the First Lady’s gratitude. She noted that the award would serve as motivation for Senator Tinubu to continue her work for the benefit of Nigerian women, youth, and children.
“She asked me to thank the Board of Directors of Independent Newspapers Limited for this great honor, which will inspire her to do even more,” Hajia Abass stated.
At the same event, Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde was named Man of the Year, while former APC National Chairman, Chief Bisi Akande, received the Lifetime Achievement Award.
The awards were presented by the Chairman of the Occasion, Chief Olabode George.
