President Tinubu congratulates Fene Osakwe on prestigious UK Cybersecurity Award

President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Dr. Fene Osakwe on winning the Cyber Personality of the Year award at the 2025 Cyber Security Awards in the United Kingdom.

Dr. Osakwe, chairman of the Lagos State Cybersecurity Advisory Board, made history as the first African to win in this category.

He was recognized for his outstanding leadership, advocacy, and expertise in cybersecurity and data privacy, outperforming finalists from the United States, the UAE, Qatar, the Netherlands, and the UK.

President Tinubu lauded Dr. Osakwe’s achievement as a testament to the talent, innovation, and excellence of Nigerian youth. He described him as an exceptional Nigerian whose global recognition underscores the growing impact of young African professionals in cybersecurity.

The President reaffirmed his belief that Nigeria’s youth are its greatest asset and expressed optimism that Dr. Osakwe’s success would inspire others in the field.

He wished Dr. Osakwe continued success in his professional journey.
