Agbeladun Agricultural Empowerment, a non-governmental organisation, has partnered with the Ondo State Agricultural Development Project and FADAMA to strengthen food production and improve farmers’ output across the state.
The collaboration was unveiled in Akure after the group’s leadership, led by its President, Franklin Fadoju, held strategic engagements with officials of both agencies to deepen agricultural support.
Fadoju disclosed that the renewed alliance is aimed at ensuring improved yields throughout the farming season, expressing optimism that the partnership would enhance productivity and sustain previous gains recorded by the organisation.
Furthermore, the Agricultural Development Project State Programme Manager, Mrs Justina Arogundade, revealed that the initiative would provide farmers with technical support and modern farming knowledge to boost output and improve livelihoods.
She urged Nigerians, particularly youths, to embrace farming as a viable business, stressing that food production remained critical to survival and national development.
Addressing participants, the Permanent Secretary in charge of FADAMA within the state, Mr. Olusiji Olatunji, commended the group’s contributions to the agricultural sector and advised members to operate through cooperative structures to maximise opportunities.
Olatunji further charged farmers to uphold transparency, explore market opportunities beyond government support, and adopt modern agricultural practices to remain competitive.
