Ondo pastor dumps Christianity for traditional religion, calls foreign faiths lies

Popular Ondo cleric, Pastor Olabanjo Felix Gold, has announced his decision to leave Christianity and embrace Ìṣẹ̀ṣe, the Yoruba traditional religious system, identifying himself as a Babalawo.

Olabanjo, founder of Image of God Evangelical and Prophetic Ministries, made the disclosure in a video circulating online, where he spoke about his spiritual transition and new religious identity.

The cleric, who now identifies as Ifawamiri Aworan Olodumare, also expressed appreciation to his spiritual mentor, whom he identified as Baba Aifuwapẹ Oluṣẹgun Latunji, the Araba of Isararemọ.

Olabanjo said his decision followed what he described as his spiritual journey into Ìṣẹ̀ṣe, while expressing gratitude to those who guided and supported him during the transition.

“I am Pastor Olabanjo Felix Gold, formerly the founder of Image of God Evangelical Ministries, but now Ifawamiri Aworan Olodumare, Babalawo of Ifá,” he said.

He also thanked his Oluwo, Aifuwapẹ Oluṣẹgun Latunji, whom he described as the Araba of Isararemọ, for his guidance throughout the transition.

The cleric further expressed appreciation to those who stood by him during his spiritual journey, while acknowledging the role of traditional elders in his new religious path.

However, Olabanjo made a strong claim about foreign religions, saying, “I want to tell you that all these foreign religions are lies and Ìṣẹ̀ṣe is the real deal.”
