Osimhen makes first appearance as Galatasaray secures consecutive victory

Victor Osimhen’s first appearance this season for Galatasaray ended in a 3-0 win for the reigning Turkish Super Lig champions.

Goals from Barış Alper Yılmaz (10th minute), Fatih Kurucuk (74th minute), and Mauro Icardi (87th minute) sealed the victory over Karagümrük on Friday at Rams Park.

Second-half substitute Osimhen thought he had opened his account, but his strike was ruled out for offside.

The Nigerian international missed Gala’s opening-day win last weekend due to a lack of match fitness.

Friday’s win leaves the Yellow and Reds at the top of the standings with six points from two games.

Up next for Galatasaray is a matchday three clash away to Kayserispor on August 24.
