Osun LG crisis: Adeleke questions APC’s refusal to Appeal Court ruling

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has questioned why the All Progressives Congress (APC) chose not to appeal the Court of Appeal ruling at the Supreme Court but instead resorted to self-help.
Speaking during a meeting with the State Council of Traditional Rulers, Adeleke emphasized that the ruling did not order the reinstatement of APC chairmen and councillors. He stressed that his government would not resort to violence but would follow due legal process.

“If a court rules in your favor, there is a legal procedure for enforcement, not brigandry and self-help,” Adeleke said. “Why did APC refuse to pursue an appeal after its chairmen were sacked? Why didn’t they appeal to the Supreme Court when the Court of Appeal struck out their case?”
He added that the PDP had no grounds to appeal since the court dismissed the reinstatement request as an academic exercise.

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, speaking on behalf of the traditional rulers, condemned the crisis, emphasizing that Osun must remain a peaceful state despite political disputes.
