Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on Thursday received a rousing welcome from workers in the state, as labour leaders pledged their continued support for his administration and his 2026 re-election bid.

Addressing workers at a welcome-back rally held in his honour at the Government Secretariat, Abere, Adeleke expressed gratitude for their show of love and assured them that their welfare would remain his top priority.

“For the show of love, I can tell you that you have not seen anything yet,” he said. “Your governor will ensure that workers’ welfare is paramount. During my campaign, I promised many good things, and they are already happening.”

The governor also announced plans to launch the Imole Soft Loan scheme to further support workers in the state.

Speaking at the event, the state president of the National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Comrade Dr. Nathaniel Ogungbami, commended Adeleke for consistently paying workers’ salaries despite challenges with allocations.

Ogungbami added that workers would continue to stand firmly with the governor because of his worker-friendly policies.

Also lending his voice, the chairman of the Trade Union Congress (TUC) in the state, Abiola Fasasi, reaffirmed the workers’ support for the administration.

Fasasi urged workers to get their Permanent Voter Cards, stressing, “Let us get our PVCs ready. That is our power, and with it, we can continue to support this government.”
